The Georgia Department of Transportation is known across the country as a leader in the transportation industry through its excellence in road construction, maintenance and traffic control. In addition to serving the transportation needs of Georgians, the Department also participates in a number of special interest projects and programs. These special interest projects are designed to educate, inform and broaden people's knowledge about other transportation-related subjects and resources.
