Georgia DOT Holds Pre-Solicitation Information Meeting for Potential Private-Sector Proposers on I-20 East of Metro Atlanta



ATLANTA, July 269, 2007 –– The Georgia Department of Transportation will hold a Pre-solicitation Information Meeting on I-20 east of metro Atlanta for any and all potential private sector proposers and interested parties at 9:00AM on Thursday, August 2, 2007 at the Department’s headquarters located at 2 Capitol Square, Atlanta, Georgia in Room 401.

On July 19, 2007 that Department announced its intent to solicit a Public-Private Initiatives (PPI) proposal for two managed lanes in each direction on I-20 east of  I-285 to Turner Hill Road, located on the east side of Metro Atlanta.

In accordance with the Department’s PPI Procedures, the Department will have a Pre-Solicitation Information Meeting to discuss the solicited RFP and to provide an exchange of information. All questions and answers will be posted on the Department’s website as well as the Georgia Procurement Registry website (http://ssl.doas.state.ga.us/prsapp/ ) following the Pre-Solicitation Information Meeting to keep the process as open and transparent to the public as possible while ensuring a fair procurement process.
