4.1.3. Passing Sight Distance

Passing sight distance is the sight distance needed for passing other vehicles (applicable only on two-way, two-lane highways at locations where passing lanes are not present).

The use of passing sight distance values less than those specified in the AASHTO Green Book is discouraged by GDOT and shall require a design variance.
