Concrete Bent

Description

  • a graphic program
  • details the Concrete Bents
    • 3 drawing scale options
    • up to 14 longitudinal beams
    • constant or variable beam spacing
    • number of back and ahead beams may be different
    • up to 5 columns
    • spread or pile footing options
    • 4 to 13 piles per footing
    • calculates bottom of cap elevations
  • calculates concrete quantities
  • creates the input file GDOT – Reinforcing Steel. (A program for producing reinforcing steel quantities and schedules – under development.)

STEEL H, HP 12 X 53
STEEL H, HP 14 X 73

PSC, 12 IN SQ
PSC, 16 IN SQ

Improvements:

VAX FORTRAN code has been transferred and recompiled for the PC.  A Visual Basic application has been developed to create the input file, run the program and view the outputs.

Installation Instructions:

1.     Ensure that the GDOT Office of Bridge and Structural Design MicroStation Customization is installed.  Click here to review the MicroStation Customization installation instructions.

2.      Uninstall any old versions of GDOT – Concrete Bent (Start | Settings | Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs).

3.      Download the self-extracting .EXE file to a directory on your hard disk by clicking here: Concrete Bent

4.      This will download files to the directory you select on your hard drive. (e.g. C:\TEMP).

5.      Execute c:\temp\SETUP.EXE and accept the defaults.

WARNING:  Do not change the folder and file structure for Concrete Bent during the installation. If the folder and file structure is changed, Concrete Bent will not run.
