Current Projects

Electronic Plan Transfer
As of March 1, 1998 the Design Offices have been requested to supply the District Utilities Offices with electronic and hard copy plans for Utility Companies. Georgia Power, Bellsouth and Atlanta Gas Light are currently involved in the program. If your Company is interested guidelines are located on this site.
Electronic Permits
The Department is interested in developing its own capability to process and electronically archive permits using an online entry system. We are in the process of obtaining resources to establish the system. Suggestions are welcome.
SubsurfaceUtilityEngineering
The Department is in the development stage in the use of Subsurface Utility Engineering to improve the quality of the Department's construction plans and to reduce construction costs due to unforeseen utility relocations.
