Assistant State Maintenance Engineer
Responsibilities
- Responsible for coordinating all statewide maintenance activities, bridge inspections and bridge maintenance.
- Oversees statewide roadway striping and sign maintenance through the Maintenance Activity Unit
- Manage roadside enhancement and beautification programs including Adopt-a-Highway and the Wildflower Program.
- Manage funds from the sale of the wildflower auto tag.
- Maintain grounds and facilities at state welcome centers and rest areas
- Develop contracts for letting of maintenance projects such as roadway resurfacing, culvert extensions, and bridge painting.
