What the Georgia D.O.T. Will Provide
  • We loan you orange safety vests which must be worn by all participants while volunteering on Georgia DOT right-of-way.
  • We provide you with free trash bags and dispose of the trash you collect and leave bagged at predestined locations in your adoption area.
  • We provide you with flags to mark hazardous items.
  • We waive the permit fee for Adopt-A-Highway groups.
  • We provide and install your recognition signs.
  • We provide safety orientation training prior to the start of your adoption.
  • We assist you with planting plans and technical advice.
  • We waive insurance requirements for volunteer participants.
