GDOT Field Data Collection System (FDCS)
Version 4.2
8 /31/2005
OVERVIEW
The GDOT Field Data Collection system is a program that assists GDOT
testing technicians and certified contractor technicians in entering
and sending field test data to GDOT.
Data is sent to the GDOT using the Web Upload feature.
INSTALLATION AND UPDATES FOR FDCS
Field Data Collection System Client must be kept up to date. GDOT
does not support older versions of this software. Attempting to Upload
with an unsupported version will result in an error message directing
the user to the Update webpage.
Unlike previous versions, it is not necessary to back up your database
prior to installation; data storage is updated along with the application.

Data received is stored in the GDOT's Field Data Server Database.
Designated GDOT personnel verify data, perform statistical analysis
on the data as a whole, and generate rating reports. Data submitted
by Asphalt Plants and Cement Mills can be viewed in the central database
by authorized users. An account ID and password must be used to view
the read-only data.
