Pens, Pencils, Wire and Paper are all tools that are currently being used by the Office of Materials and Research Field Technicians and Vendors to submit Samples for testing and evaluation to OMR laboratories.
Georgia Department of Transportation, Office of IT Applications along with the Office of Materials and Research are working together to create, “MIMS,” the Material Information Management System.
MIMS is the first state of the art Web-based software application designed specifically for managing data for qualified testing technicians and laboratories, testing equipment, pre-approved materials and sources, site investigations, as well as sampling and testing performed in the field and at the laboratories.
Look for the release of MIMS mid 2008.
