4. Douglas Historic Railroad Depot

The Douglas Rail Depot was originally constructed in 1904. Renovations were completed in 1999 and tie into the Douglas Streetscape very well. The photos shown reflect the before and after renovations. The Depot was originally built in two sections --the rear of the building was added at a much later date to handle freight and the front represents the original Depot. The City of Douglas uses the Depot as a museum and welcome center. The Douglas Heritage Museum is open daily Tuesday through Saturday.
