TE Projects: Virtual Tour

   Georgia

The Georgia TEA Virtual Tour takes the opportunity that technology has given us to bring virtual travelers from around the world to Georgia's historic and scenic transportation facilities. Transportation is at the heart of Georgia's history and is integral to its future. Transportation touches all of Georgia's cities from port cities of Savannah and Brunswick---to its river towns such as Columbus---to its rail cities such as Douglas and Atlanta. The Transportation Enhancement Activities (TEA) program illustrates how transportation plays a central role in Georgia.

Photographs, maps, and descriptions bring these places to travelers throughout the world. Through Georgia's TEA program, many historic transportation sites have been rehabilitated, pedestrian and bicycle facilities have been enhanced and created, and highways and byways have been landscaped. The TEA program's goal is to enhance the transportation experience with a focus on cultural, natural, and scenic areas.

We hope you enjoy your tour through a sample of Georgia's TE projects. If you are unfamiliar with Georgia, please make use of our interactive map. Please take note that you can view a larger version of the photographs by simply clicking on them.
